At Howard & Lloyd we design and manufacture premium casual wear that's made as close to home as possible. The core assortment of our goods are made in Canada, and almost everything we release is manufactured in North America.
What's in a name?
In 1941 two farmers by trade signed a deal on the back of a half-empty cigarette pack to purchase some land. These two farmers were Lloyd (Born 1918) and his younger brother Howard (Born 1920). We’re still unsure about which side of the deal got the half pack of smokes that were left, but the two brothers farmed the land for over 50 years before Lloyd's son eventually took over.
As an ode to the brothers, we started Howard and Lloyd to provide something we were having trouble finding: quality apparel that was made in Canada. Although the connection between two farmers and our clothing may not seem obvious, it’s all about how their daily persistence embodies and influences our approach. All of our pieces are built around principles like versatility, timelessness, and originality — the perfect representation of who Howard and Lloyd were.
